synopsis
H.K., also known as Hofstetter Kurt, is an Austrian concept- and media artist. In 1998 he began with the realisiation of his project Sunpendulum, an international media art project. This video documents the realisation process of Sunpendulum Inplusion between 1998 and 2000 and moments in parallels. In 1999 the Sunpendulum Time-Eyes of Hawaii/USA, Bermuda/GB and Granada/E were installed. And in the year 2000 the Time-Eye installations were realised in Cairo/ET, New Orleans/USA and Ensenada/MX. The further 6 Time-Eyes are going to be installed on the Azoren/P, in Dubai/UAE, Calcutta/IND, Hong Kong/VRC, Tokyo and on the Midway Islands in the years 2001-2003 and will be subject of Vol.2. |

H.K., auch bekannt als Hofstetter Kurt, ist ein österreichischer Konzept- und Medienkünstler. 1998 begann er mit der Realisation seines Projektes Sonnenpendel, ein internationales Medienkunstprojekt. Dieses Video dokumentiert den Realisierungsprozess von Sonnenpendel Inplusion zwischen 1998 und 2000 eingebettet in parallele Momente. Sonnenpendel Inplusion umfaßt unter anderem die Installation von 12 Zeitaugen (Videokameras) in 12 Zeitzonen rund um die Erde, die das Licht der Sonne am Himmel via InterNet zu 12 in einem Kreis installierten Monitoren in einem Pavillon (Explosion) übertragen. 1999 wurde je ein Sonnenpendel Zeitauge in Hawaii/USA, Bermuda/GB und Granada/E installiert. Im Jahr 2000 kamen die Zeitaugen von Kairo/ET, New Orleans/USA und Ensenada/MX dazu. Die weiteren 6 Zeitaugen werden auf den Azoren/P, in Dubai/UAE, Kalkutta/IND, Hong Kong/VRC, Tokyo/JP und auf den Midway Inseln von 2001 bis 2003 installiert und werden damit Thema von Vol. 2 sein. |
