synopsis In
12 time zones around the earth* two persons spend one hour facing the
sun.
They are parallel to each other; their seeing rays and the sunbeams in
parallel point to the same infinitely distant point, where they meet
each
other. Simultaneously, they rotate with the earth and circulate around
the sun. It is about parallelism and circulation, staged to experience
time.

inhalt In
12 Zeitzonen rund um die Erde* verbringen jeweils zwei Menschen eine
Stunde
Zeit, um zur Sonne zu schauen. Sie sind parallel zueinander. Ihre
Sehstrahlen
und die parallelen Sonnenstrahlen zeigen zum selben unendlich fernen
Punkt,
dort wo sie einander treffen. Gleichzeitig rotieren sie mit der Erde
und
kreisen um die Sonne. Es geht um Parallelität und Kreislauf,
inszeniert,
um Zeit zu erfahren.

| Moments
of this time experience are recorded by a video camera. The camera is
directed
towards the sun and towards the same infinitely distant point,
back-light
shooting. The persons become silhouettes that frame the light of the
sun.
The radical reduction of the formal matter and action (story line),
intensified
by the camera focus, consequently repeated all around the earth, gives
the viewer time to reflect. The slowness of the pictures opens the
possibility
of finding parallel contents beyond the formal image reception. To
spend
time with time, from abstract time (artificial slow motion of natural
movements)
up to the time experienced as a cosmic process (rotation of the earth)
... or to be bored ... as long as the picture is interrupted by a
certain
question, which again reflects on time.

Momente
dieser Zeiterfahrungen werden mit einer Videokamera festgehalten. Dabei
ist die Kamera zur Sonne und zum selben unendlich fernen Punkt
gerichtet.
Es kommt zur Gegenlichtaufnahme. Die Menschen werden zu Silhouetten,
die
das Licht der Sonne begrenzen. Die radikale Reduktion des formalen
Bildinhaltes
und der Handlung, verstärkt durch die konsequent wiederholte
Kameraeinstellung
rund um die Erde, gibt dem Betrachter Zeit, zu reflektierenDie
Langsamkeit
der Bilder ermöglicht es, über die formale Bildrezeption
hinaus,
parallele Bildinhalte zu finden. Zeit mit Zeit zu verbringen, von
abstrahierter
Zeit (künstliche Verlangsamung natürlicher Bewegungen) bis
hin
zur Zeit als erlebbaren kosmischen Prozess (Rotation der Erde) ... oder
sich zu langweilen ... solange bis die Bilder von einer Frage
unterbrochen
werden, die erneut Zeit reflektiert.
Bildwahrnehmung hängt ab von Zeit. Zeit kodiert Bilder. Ein unzeitgemäßes Video zur Zeitwahrnehmung ? |
